Care instructions for shoes

Please remember that new shoes do not have the protection needed to protect them from dirt and wet. It is advisable to impregnate new shoes before use and then regulary during their lifetime - this way they will last longer.
BASE THE TYPE OF CARE TO THE TYPE OF THE SHOE.
Shoes have many different qualities! Some materials are delicate and need much more care, for emxample seude and nubuck. Always use the shoe care product that is recommended as it is especially designed for the material in the shoe.

Cleaning

THE FIRST STEP OF CARING FOR SHOES IS ALWAYS CLEANING.
LEATHER - Brush away dirt with a shoe brush and use leather cleaner on the harder stains.
SUEDE & NUBUCK _ Use special products; suede brush, sanding block and cleaning shampoo. Sand extra on the more difficult stains, stripes of salt and shiny areas.
OILED LEATHER - Brush and use cleaning shampoo.
TEXTILE - Brush and use cleaning shampoo when needed.

Care

WHEN SHOES ARE CLEANED THEY SHOULD BE TREATED WITH PRODUCTS THAT FRESHEN UP AND GIVE NUTRIENTS.
LEATHER - Brush with shoe cream. Cream in a tin, or a tube contains a lot of colour pigment ond makes the leather shiny. At the same time that the cream impregnates, it gives nutrients and restores the colour. Let the shoe cream dry for 15 minutes. Brush the cream into the leather. Polish with a polishing cloth.
SUEDE AND NUBUCK - Use special cream which restores and impregnates. Rough up the outer surface with a suede brush afterwards.
OILED LEATHER - Treat with fat paste or spray which gives the leather a newly oiled appearence and character and at the same time protects and impregnates the surface. Remember that lighter shoes will become darker.

Protect

THE LAST STAGE OF THE PROCESS PROTECTS THE SHOES AGAINST DIRT AND WET BY IMPREGNATION.
LEATHER - Shoe cream partly impregnates, but for the best protection against wet, it is recommended to use an impregnating paste or spray. The spray gives the shoes an invisable and extremly water repelling surface. Shoes with an outer sole of leather, do not withstand the wet. Use special impregnating products that protect the leather sole.
SUEDE & NUBUCK - Use impregnating spray, let it dry and then brush the ruffled surface with a seude brush. Repeat for an extra fine result.
OILED LEATHER - Impregnation products which re-oil give the leather a new oiled appearence and character and at the same time impregnates the leather.
TEXTILE - Spray a thin layer of impregnating spray. Leave to dry and repeat for an extra fine result.
GORE TEX MATERIALS - Care should be given depending on the respective outer surface material and should be sprayed with impregnating products last.
LACQUERED LEATHER, SYNTHETIC AND RUBBER - Do not use impregnating spray on these materials.
